Frank – A Life in Song is a grand celebration of the music and career of “ol’ blue eyes”, Mr Frank Sinatra, one of the most iconic entertainers of the 20th century. Accompanied by a booming 16 piece band, Tom Burlinson, known for his starring roles in Phar Lap and The Man From Snowy River, will once again have the ladies swooning with his renditions of Sinatra’s classics including Come Fly With Me, The Lady Is A Tramp, Fly Me To The Moon and I've Got You Under My Skin., delivering each song with the style and sound Frank Sinatra is famous for. In 1998 Tom decided to create this own tribute with the sad loss of the legend, and so began Frank – A Life In Song. Tom has now performed this show to sell-out audiences Australia-wide, and has followed this with sell-out concerts and standing ovations in Toronto, Canada. This is pure Sinatra at its best, performed by one of Australia’s international superstars. All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

In 2008 FISAF National Championship is to be held for the first time in the Tweed Shire at the Seagulls Club from 18th to 21st September. The Championship includes both sport aerobic and hip hop sections, with competitors from 6 years to adult, with the majority from 10 - 16 years old.
This is also a qualifier for chosing the Australian team to compete at FISAF Worlds in 2009. Last year, over 750 competitors attended, with average audiences of approx 600 per day.

This festival combines education with a range of competitions, displays, boating events, walks and on the final Saturday evening a spectacular lantern parade at Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Tweed Heads.

Canary in a Coalmine - Rachel Stone - an exhibition of paintings and assemblages highlighting the world of birds and the gossamer threads which enable them to survive in fragile ecosystems currently under siege.
Transmigration - an installation of nest-like forms constructed from natural plant materials and found objects by Natalie Kunst.
